Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: September 21, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern services provided by Terminal X Auto Detailing (“Terminal X,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located at 50 Don Park Road, Unit 1A, Markham, Ontario, L3R 1J3.

By booking an appointment, authorizing work, leaving a vehicle with us, purchasing a service or using our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Services

Terminal X provides vehicle washing, interior and exterior detailing, paint correction, ceramic coating and related automotive appearance services.

The exact services, price and expected completion time will be confirmed before work begins. Recommendations made by our staff are based on the visible condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection.

Service results may vary depending on the vehicle’s age, condition, materials, previous repairs, paint condition and level of contamination.

2. Estimates and Authorization

Prices displayed online or provided before inspecting the vehicle are preliminary estimates unless expressly confirmed as final.

We may inspect and photograph the vehicle when it arrives to document its condition and confirm the work required. If the vehicle’s condition differs materially from the information provided at booking, we will explain any additional work or cost and obtain the customer’s authorization before proceeding.

Where Ontario motor vehicle estimate and authorization requirements apply, Terminal X will comply with applicable law. We will not perform or charge for additional work that has not been authorized by the customer.

3. Pricing, Taxes and Payment

Unless otherwise stated, all prices are in Canadian dollars and are subject to applicable taxes.

Payment is due when the service is completed and before the vehicle is released, unless another arrangement has been agreed to in writing.

Additional charges may apply for conditions including, but not limited to:

  • Excessive dirt, mud, salt or pet hair

  • Bodily fluids, mould, pests or hazardous materials

  • Severe stains or odours

  • Oversized or unusually configured vehicles

  • Removal of adhesives, tar, sap or industrial contamination

  • Additional correction stages or services authorized by the customer

Any additional charge will be communicated for approval before the additional work begins.

4. Appointments, Cancellations and Late Arrivals

Customers should provide at least 24 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.

A late cancellation or missed appointment may result in the loss of a booking deposit or a cancellation fee only where that fee was clearly disclosed before the booking was completed.

Customers who arrive late may need to reschedule, accept a reduced service or accept a revised completion time.

If Terminal X cancels an appointment and cannot provide a suitable alternative, any deposit paid for that appointment will be refunded.

5. Vehicle Condition and Customer Disclosure

The customer must disclose any known or suspected condition that could affect the safe performance of the service, including:

  • Loose, cracked or damaged trim

  • Repainted or recently repaired surfaces

  • Paint protection film, vinyl wraps or decals

  • Rust, corrosion, peeling paint or clear-coat failure

  • Cracked glass or damaged seals

  • Water leaks

  • Aftermarket electronics or accessories

  • Mechanical or electrical issues

  • Previous ceramic coatings or surface treatments

Terminal X is not responsible for a pre-existing defect becoming visible during normal cleaning or detailing, unless the damage was directly caused by our failure to exercise reasonable care.

The customer confirms that they own the vehicle or are authorized by its owner to request and approve the services.

6. Vehicle Access and Keys

The customer authorizes Terminal X employees and approved contractors to unlock, start and move the vehicle where reasonably necessary to complete the service or manage vehicles safely on the premises.

Customers should provide a functioning key and inform us of any alarm, immobilizer, special starting procedure or key defect.

We will take reasonable care of vehicle keys while they are in our possession.

7. Personal Belongings and Child Seats

Customers should remove money, jewellery, electronics, documents and other valuable or sensitive items before leaving the vehicle.

Terminal X is not responsible for personal property left inside the vehicle except where loss or damage is caused by our negligence.

Child seats should be removed before interior detailing. We do not install, reinstall or certify child seats. The customer is responsible for ensuring every child seat is properly secured before using the vehicle.

8. Service Limitations

Although we aim to achieve the best reasonable result, we cannot guarantee complete removal of every stain, odour, scratch, water spot, swirl mark or other defect.

Some defects may be permanent or may require additional treatment. Aggressive treatment will not be performed without explaining the relevant risks and obtaining authorization.

Cleaning may reveal pre-existing damage that was previously hidden by dirt, oxidation, filler, wax or other substances.

Vehicles with defective seals, damaged weather stripping, aftermarket components or pre-existing electrical problems may be more susceptible to water intrusion or malfunction. Terminal X remains responsible for damage directly caused by a failure to use reasonable care.

9. Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating

Paint correction removes or reduces defects by removing a controlled amount of clear coat. Results depend on paint thickness, previous repairs and the depth of the defects.

Some scratches may be too deep to remove safely. Terminal X may recommend leaving such defects untreated to avoid damaging the paint.

Ceramic coating performance and durability depend on vehicle use, environmental exposure and compliance with aftercare instructions. Any coating warranty applies only where it is provided separately in writing and all stated maintenance requirements are followed.

No verbal statement creates a warranty beyond the written warranty or service description provided to the customer.

10. Hazardous or Prohibited Conditions

Terminal X may stop or refuse service if a vehicle contains dangerous substances, needles, weapons, illegal items, active pests, significant mould, bodily fluids or any condition that may endanger employees, customers or property.

Where appropriate or legally required, suspected illegal or dangerous items may be reported to the relevant authorities.

Customers and visitors must remain outside work bays unless invited by a staff member and must follow all posted safety instructions.

11. Completion, Collection and Delays

Completion times are estimates and may change because of the vehicle’s condition, additional authorized work, equipment issues, weather, staffing or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customers must collect their vehicle within the agreed collection period. Any storage charge must be disclosed and agreed to before it is applied, except where otherwise permitted by law.

Responsibility for the vehicle returns to the customer when the vehicle is collected or delivered to the customer.

12. Inspection and Damage Claims

Customers should inspect their vehicle at pickup and notify Terminal X promptly of any concern.

Where an issue is not reasonably visible at pickup, customers should contact us as soon as it is discovered and provide photographs and relevant information. Prompt notice gives us an opportunity to inspect and address the concern.

Nothing in this section removes or limits any right the customer may have under applicable consumer protection law.

13. Standard of Service and Remedies

Terminal X will perform its services with reasonable care and skill consistent with generally accepted automotive detailing practices.

If we confirm that a service was not completed as agreed, our first remedy may be to correct or repeat the affected portion of the service within a reasonable period. Depending on the circumstances, another appropriate remedy may be offered.

This section does not limit any mandatory remedy available under applicable law.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Terminal X is not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses that do not arise directly from the service provided.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury caused by negligence or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms limits a customer’s rights under Ontario’s consumer protection legislation or other applicable law.

15. Website, Online Booking and Promotions

Website descriptions, photographs and examples illustrate the type of result that may be achievable but do not guarantee an identical result for every vehicle.

Online appointments are not final until confirmed. We may correct obvious pricing, availability or typographical errors before accepting a booking.

Promotions, discount codes and reward points:

  • Are subject to their posted conditions and expiry dates

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash unless required by law

  • May not be combined unless expressly stated

  • May be limited to specific services, vehicles or appointment dates

We may modify future promotions or rewards, but changes will not remove rights already earned where prohibited by law.

All website content, including the Terminal X name, logo, photographs, graphics and original written material, belongs to Terminal X or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

16. Electronic Communications

We may send transactional messages relating to appointments, estimates, payments and completed services.

Promotional emails or text messages will be sent only where we have the consent or other lawful basis required under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation.

Customers may withdraw marketing consent at any time by using the unsubscribe mechanism in the message or by contacting us. Withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent necessary service or appointment communications.

17. Privacy and Photographs

We collect and use customer information for booking, payment, customer service, safety, record-keeping and other purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

We may photograph a vehicle before, during and after service for condition records, quality control and dispute resolution.

Photographs that identify the customer, licence plate or other personal information will not be used for advertising without appropriate consent.

18. Refusal or Termination of Service

We may refuse or stop a service where:

  • Performing it would be unsafe or unlawful

  • The vehicle’s condition was materially misrepresented

  • The customer refuses to authorize necessary additional work

  • The customer behaves abusively or threatens staff or other customers

  • Payment obligations from a previous service remain outstanding

  • Equipment failure or another circumstance prevents safe completion

The customer remains responsible for work already authorized and completed.

19. Events Outside Our Control

Neither party is responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside reasonable control, including severe weather, fire, flooding, utility interruption, government action, supply interruption or equipment failure.

We will notify affected customers and make reasonable efforts to reschedule or complete the service.

20. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

The parties submit to the courts located in Ontario, subject to any consumer right to bring a proceeding in another forum under applicable law.

21. Changes, Severability and Entire Agreement

The version of these Terms in effect when a service is booked generally applies to that service.

We may update these Terms for future services by posting a revised version and effective date on our website.

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A failure to enforce one provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.

These Terms, together with the confirmed estimate, service description, written warranty and Privacy Policy, form the agreement between Terminal X and the customer concerning the service.
